GETTING BACK ON TRACK & LEARNING BALANCE


I have struggled with my weight, self-confidence, and BALANCE since I entered my early teenage years. I lived a pretty active lifestyle in high school, I played two team sports and exercised 3-5 times a week when I was in the off seasons. Clearly, the exercise part was never that hard for me. I actually LOVE working out and getting sweaty.

Let's take it back to August 2016...(Almost a year ago!) I found myself frustrated with how I felt about myself and how I looked. I decided to contact someone my mom had alot of success with in the past. Her name is Lori and she operates a company called Just Results...She teaches me the importance of eating right but not driving yourself insane. She also is somewhat of a trainer for me as well. We organize and plan workouts for me and figure out what works and what isn't working! She holds me accountable which is something I needed at that point in my life. I am VERY thankful for Lori and her plan. I lost about 20 pounds with her, but lately i've been fluctuating. I wanted to lose 10-15 more but it is the hardest thing i've done! My body is at its plateau phase right now, it's happy where I'm currently at but I know I am capable of much more! The only way to get there is staying focused and working hard. Which I struggle with almost every day...but it's hard to find that balance.

STRINGY, DAMAGED CURLS TO HEALTHY, SOFT CURLS!

I've tried many things in the past to make my curls easier to handle instead of embracing the knotty, time consuming challenge that I was naturally blessed with. I put hundreds of dollars of relaxing treatments in my hair for about 3-4 years! It loosened my curls so it was easier to manage, but I could not help but notice that my hair would break much easier and my curls were not looking quite curly anymore. I was so upset about how my hair looked as I entered high school because I had every intention to look good with my relaxed, easy to straighten hair...but I just ended up with a stringy, frizzy mess. And when I wanted to wear my hair curly, it did not look healthy at all! 
 I wanted my curl back! I was ready to embrace the blonde curly mop I had...but it was not looking very good...so please keep reading to find out how I transformed my hair and to see my before and after

CURRENT FAVES: CURLY HAIR PRODUCTS & TOOLS

Hello everyone! After much deliberation...I have FINALLY narrowed down my favorite conditioners, shampoo, leave-in's, and hair product of the moment. These wonderful products have been giving me great results as the winter is roughly approaching. I just started using some of these products and some are long time loves. As many of my fellow curly girls know, finding the perfect hair products is hard to do. Plus, taming the mane is even harder if you aren't using the right products. Just some background information, I can usually go through a normal sized bottle of conditioner in a week to a week and a half.  If you have very dry curls like me it's best not to shampoo more than 1 to 2 times a week.
